Welcome to the Procurement section of CATA's web site. These pages are intended to assist current and prospective vendors who wish to provide goods and services to CATA.

Invitation to Bid
Gas Detection Project

Centre Area Transportation Authority is seeking bids to replace its CNG Gas Detection system. Bids, in a sealed envelope marked “Contract 1- Gas Detection Project” must be submitted to Jaime Miller, 2081 W. Whitehall Road, State College, PA 16801-2623 not later than 2:00 PM local time on February 22, 2012, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read at the above address.

Contractors interested in receiving bid documents, addenda and in bidding must register with Ms. Miller at (814) 238-2282, ext. 164, or via email at jmiller@catabus.com.  Registrants must provide business name, contact person and contact information (address, telephone and fax numbers and email address.)

Plans, specifications and other documents (the Contract Documents) will be distributed on compact disk once registration is completed, per above. Paper copies may be reviewed at CATA upon request to Ms. Miller by phone or e-mail. You may also choose to download the documents directly from this site (two documents below entitled: CATA-Bid Set and IFB Final Gas Detection Specifications 1-19-12).

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at CATA on February 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM and will include a site tour.  Site visits may also be scheduled with Ms. Miller by phone or e-mail. No contractor may enter the site without an appointment.

All bids/contracts are subject to all applicable state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, all third party contracting requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage requirements, including amendments and supplements thereto, shall apply.
Complete requirements, including those for bonding and insurance, are included in the IFB.

CATA reserves the right to postpone, to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, or to waive any and all informalities, as it deems in its best interest.

CATA is seeking bids from qualified firms for: Replacement of Burners and Components on 2 Rapid Air Make Up Units

Sealed bids marked "CATA IFB - Replacement of Burners and Components " will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, when bids are scheduled to be opened and publicly read at the address below.  Bids received after this deadline for any reason will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder unopened.  All bids must remain in effect for sixty (60) calendar days from the bid opening.

Centre Area Transportation Authority is seeking proposals for banking services.  Proposals will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. local time on Monday, March 19, 2012.
