Facilities Manager
The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is currently seeking applicants for the position of Facilities Manager.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of CATA’s facilities and property, facilities projects, shop inventory maintenance and tank/building safety systems. The selected candidate will support the Director of Maintenance in supervision of maintenance employees, maintain a formal facilities safety program, be the primary contact for inspections, develop and deliver CNG training, and perform audits and investigations related to facilities safety management.
Applicants should have education/experience equivalent to an associate’s degree, considerable facilities management/supervisory experience (building construction experience preferred), and possession of or ability to obtain a PA commercial driver’s license with “P” endorsement and an Underground Storage Tank Class C operator’s license within 6 months of employment.

Part-Time Dispatcher
The Centre Area Transportation Authority is seeking a Part-Time Dispatcher to assist operations supervisors, answer phones, respond to customer inquiries, monitor service using system technology, and assist with scheduling, fleet maintenance issues and administrative tasks. Candidates must be able to work evening and weekend shifts.
All applicants should possess education/experience equivalent to graduation from high school and the possession of a valid PA driver’s license. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required. Dispatching experience is preferred.

Accepting Applications for Bus Drivers for Periodic Openings
The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA), a 35 year old municipal authority providing transit service to Penn State, State College and the surrounding areas, accepts applications for bus drivers year-round and hires on an as-needed basis. The position requires a safe driving record and the ability to work a flexible schedule. A valid driver's license is required. Previous experience driving 35'-40' coaches and a familiarity with State College are not necessary, but helpful. Applicants should have strong customer service orientation. After a training period, successful candidates generally work on an on-call basis, with split shifts, their first year.
