PSU HOMECOMING PARADE INFORMATION & SERVICE DETOURS |

The 2007 Penn State Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 12, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. Buses will begin detouring at approximately 5:30 p.m., with detours lasting until approximately 9:00 p.m. The parade will form near Medlar Field on Porter Road, and will travel Porter Road to Curtin Road, Curtin Road to Bigler Road, Bigler Road to Pollock Road, Pollock Road to Shortlidge Road, Shortlidge Road to College Avenue, College Avenue to Burrowes Road, and will end at the intersection of Burrowes Road and Pollock Road. Penn State Police Services will be directing traffic at various intersections on campus, please realize there will be delays.

The
following detours will be in effect from approximately 5:30 p.m. until
9:00 p.m. The detours are listed by route and each route includes a
link to a map showing the detour route and trips/stops affected.

| A Route - - The 5:48 p.m. Outbound trip will follow normal routing to the Pavilion Theater. After servicing the Pavilion Theater, the bus will travel Curtin Road then turn left on Shortlidge Road, left on Park Avenue, left on North Atherton Street, left on Curtin Road Extension, and left on Curtin Road to the Curtin Road Transit Center (Pattee Library). The bus will layover at the Transit Center and depart at 6:08 p.m., resuming normal outbound routing from this point. There will be no service to the bus stops located on Bigler Road, Pollock Road, Shortlidge Road, College Avenue, or Burrowes Road. |

| B
Route - The 5:51 p.m., 6:52 p.m., and 8:52 p.m. Inbound trips
will follow normal routing to University Drive. The bus will then travel
University Drive to Park Avenue, Park Avenue to Shortlidge Road, and
Shortlidge Road to Curtin Road, with the trip ending at the Creamery. |

| C Route -
The C Route will be unaffected by the parade. |

| F
Route - The F Route will be unaffected by the parade. |

| H
Route - The 6:11 p.m., 7:11 p.m., and 8:11 p.m. Inbound trips
will follow normal routing to Fox Hollow Road and Park Avenue, where
the bus will then detour traveling Park Avenue to North Atherton Street,
and North Atherton Street to Curtin Road Extension, where it will begin
Outbound H routing. |

Route - The 6:07 p.m., 7:07 p.m., and 8:07 p.m. Inbound trips
will follow normal inbound routing to Beaver Avenue and Atherton Street,
where it will turn left and travel North Atherton to Curtin Road Extension,
with the trip ending at the Curtin Road Transit Center (Pattee Library). |

Route - The 5:38 p.m., 6:18 p.m., 6:38 p.m., 7:18 p.m., and
8:18 p.m. Inbound trips will follow normal routing to University Drive
and Hastings Road. The bus will then travel University Drive, turning
left on Park Avenue, left on North Atherton Street, and left on Curtin
Road Extension, traveling to Curtin Road Transit Center (Pattee Library).

Route - The 5:42 p.m., 6:21 p.m., 6:59 p.m., 7:35 p.m., 8:11
p.m., and 8:47 p.m. Inbound trips leaving the Colonnade will follow
normal inbound routing to the Pavilion Theater on Curtin Road, where
the trip will end. The 5:46 p.m., 6:26 p.m., 7:04 p.m., 7:40 p.m., 8:16
p.m., and 8:52 p.m. |

| NV Route - All Outbound NV trips after 5:30 p.m. will service the bus stops at Curtin Road Transit Center (Pattee Library), and the Pavilion Theater before departing campus. There will be no outbound service to the bus stops on College Avenue after 5:30 p.m. |

Route - The 5:43 p.m., 6:23 p.m., 7:28 p.m., and 8:38 p.m.
Inbound trips leaving Scenery Park at Geisinger will follow normal inbound
routing to Pugh Street, the bus will then travel Pugh Street to Hamilton
Avenue, Hamilton Avenue to Atherton Street, Atherton Street to Curtin
Road Extension, where the bus will then follow normal routing to the
Pavilion Theater. After servicing the Pavilion Theater, the bus will
travel Curtin Road, turning left on Shortlidge Road, and right on Park
Avenue, where the bus will then resume it’s normal routing to the hospital.

Route - The 5:30 p.m., 6:11 p.m., 6:49 p.m., 7:25 p.m., 8:01
p.m., and 8:37 p.m. Inbound trips will follow normal inbound routing
to the Pavilion Theater on Curtin Road, where the trip will end. The
5:42 p.m., 6:21 p.m., 6:59 p.m., 7:35 p.m., 8:11 p.m., and 8:47 p.m.

| S Route - The 5:40 p.m. Inbound trip leaving Science Park Road at Sandy Drive will follow normal inbound routing to Beaver Avenue and Atherton Street, where it will travel North Atherton Street to Curtin Road Extension, and Curtin Road Extension to Curtin Road, where it will resume normal inbound routing to the Pavilion Theater, where the trip will end. There will be no service to the bus stops on Beaver Avenue at Balfurd Cleaners, Burrowes Road, Bigler Road, Pollock Road, Shortlidge Road, or College Avenue between Shortlidge Road and North Atherton Street. |

| UT
Route - The 5:55 p.m. Inbound trip leaving University Terrace
will follow normal inbound routing to University Drive, where it will
travel University Drive, turning left on Park Avenue, left on Shortlidge
Road, and right on Curtin Road, traveling to the Curtin Road Transit
Center (Pattee Library). |

Route - The 5:49 p.m., 6:27 p.m., 7:05 p.m., 7:41 p.m., 8:17
p.m., and 8:53 p.m. Inbound trips leaving the Colonnade will follow
normal inbound routing to the Pavilion Theater, where the trip will
end. The 6:08 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:23 p.m., 7:59 p.m., and 8:35 p.m. |

| W
Route - The 6:11 p.m., 7:11 p.m., and 8:11 p.m. Inbound trips
leaving the Colonnade will follow normal inbound routing to the Pavilion
Theater, where the trip will end. |

| X
Route - The X Route trips will be unaffected by the parade, however,
be aware that transfer connections between the M and X may be affected.

|
| Blue Loop - There will be no Blue Loop service during the parade. All buses that usually provide Blue Loop service at this time will be redirected to operate as additional White Loop, Green Link, or Red Link service. | |
|
White Loop - The White Loop will follow the following routing for the duration of the parade: From Beaver Avenue at Schlow Library, the bus will follow normal routing to University Drive. The bus will then travel University Drive to Park Avenue, turn left on Park Avenue, left on Shortlidge Road, and right on Curtin Road. The bus will travel Curtin Road to Curtin Road Extension, turn right on Curtin Road Extension, left on Atherton Street, and left on Beaver Avenue, where it will travel back to Schlow Library. There will be no service to the bus stops on Curtin Road between University Drive and Shortlidge Road, or Burrowes Road. |

Red Link - The Red Link will follow the following routing for the duration of the parade: From West Campus, the bus will follow normal routing to the Pavilion Theater, where it will then travel Curtin Road to Shortlidge Road, Shortlidge Road to Park Avenue, Park Avenue to University Drive, University Drive to Curtin Road, and Curtin Road to Porter Road, where it will resume normal routing to Innovation Park. From Innovation Park, the bus will follow normal routing into Lot 44. When in Lot 44, the bus will travel straight through and out the south service entrance to University Drive. The bus will then turn right on University Drive, left on Park Avenue, left on Shortlidge Road, and right on Curtin Road, where the bus will resume normal routing to West Campus. There will be no service to the bus stops on Curtin Road between Shortlidge Road and University Drive, and no service to the Stadium West bus stop heading westbound. |

Green Link - From 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., the Green Link will follow the following routing to provide Eastbound Service: From the Curtin Road Transit Center, the bus will travel Curtin Road to Shortlidge Road, turning left on Shortlidge Road, right on Park Avenue, right on University Drive, and left on Curtin Road, with the trip ending on Porter Road at Lubrano Park. There will be no service to the bus stops on Curtin Road between Shortlidge Road and University Drive. |
