How
to Read your Bus Schedule |
CENTRE
LINE - Look at the map in the schedule and locate the time-point
right before where you wish to board the bus. Time-points are
numbered in the direction the bus runs along the route. The
number of this time-point on the map corresponds to the numbered
columns in the timetable section of the schedule. Times listed
in the columns give the time when the bus is scheduled to leave
that time-point.
If you are at a stop located between time-points the bus will
arrive after the time shown for the previous time-point, but
before the time shown for the next time-point. If you are waiting
at a bus stop, you may also check the information holder at
the stop for the approximate arrival time. |

bus stop feature available
CATA riders may now click on any one of the bus stops shown
on the Centre Line schedule maps on this website and access
the same specific schedule information that is posted in the
information holders at that location. This option launches
Acrobat Reader, the free software program for viewing and
printing Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files, where
you can then view and/or print an exact duplicate of the information
holder sign for that stop which shows the approximate arrival
time for every route that serves that stop. |
The following
example uses a sample printed schedule from the CATA RIDE GUIDE
to demonstrate how to read the schedules. The versions of the schedule
on this website look slightly different but the process is the same. |
