Reimagine CATA Study

Project Overview

CATA is reimagining how transit is delivered across the region to better serve the growing community. ‘Reimagine CATA’ will evaluate existing transit services, identify needs and opportunities, and will provide recommendations to modify existing services and/or add new services.

The Process

Reimagine CATA will begin with an operational analysis of existing conditions, including an assessment of CATABUS, CATACOMMUTE, CATARIDE and CATAGO. The first round of public and stakeholder engagement (October 2021) will assist with identifying existing challenges and opportunities. Input from the community will be used for the gaps and needs assessment and will help us create goals and objectives for the future of CATABUS. Once we have developed draft service concepts, we will engage with the community once again (early 2022) for feedback on our initial recommendations. We will refine our initial ideas based on comments from the public and stakeholders before finalizing into the action plan and final report. The project is expected to be completed in late-2022.
