The Central
Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts™ (CPFA) Shuttle Service,
operated by CATA for many years has been consolodated into the existing
BLUE LOOP service this year. As with the former Shuttle service,
the BLUE LOOP provides free, continuous, fully accessible transportation
between the perimeter parking areas near Beaver Stadium and the
festival activities in downtown State College. There is, however,
a $5 daily parking charge per vehicle at the Beaver Stadium and
Bryce Jordan Center East Parking Lots.
The BLUE LOOP has many
more stops along the route than the former Arts Festival Shuttle
including two at the stadium parking locations and two Downtown
along College Avenue (near the Festival), as well as at the Pattee
Library, the Pavilion Theater, the Natatorium, and the White Building
on Campus. (The current summer Curtin Road detours will not be in
effect during the Festival).
The extended BLUE LOOP
service will operate longer hours and more frequently. The special
hours and frequency along with a map showing the BLUE LOOP routing
are shown below. That map shows only the main stops related to the
Arts Festival. Click here
for a special Arts Festival BLUE LOOP schedule that shows all of
the bus stops along the way. |
