Reduced Service Lite Reminder

CATA will be operating on a Reduced Service Lite schedule from April 29 through May 5.

Community Service:

All community routes will operate with the exception of the express routes (HU, NE, RC, VE and WE).

Summer Service Change:

There will be schedule changes to a number of routes effective Monday, Apr. 29. The VN route trial will start operating on Sunday, May 5. Please visit catabus.com/cata_summer_service_2024 for more information and make sure you utilize Google Maps trip planning to plan your trip ahead of time.

Campus Service:

Blue Loop operates every 15'-30' between 7:15 a.m. and 1 a.m., Monday through Friday. No weekend service.

White Loop operates every 24' between 7:15 am and midnight, Monday through Sunday.

There will be no Red Link service.

4/27/24 Luke Combs Concert Detours

This supersedes any other published detour information.

From the stop at Pattee Library, the bus will follow Curtin Rd where it will turn right on Bigler Rd, right on Pollock Rd, and resume normal routing. 

There is no BL service at Walker Bldg (#285); use Burrowes Rd instead.

After servicing the Meridian stop, the bus will follow normal routing to University Dr, where it will turn left on Hastings Rd, (Lot 83/Stop #152 will not be serviced - use Hastings Rd at University Drive/Stop #5 instead), right on Bigler Rd, and left on Curtin Rd where it will resume normal routing.

The Red Link traveling toward Medlar Field will follow normal routing to Curtin Road where it will turn right on Biglar Road, left onto Hastings Road, left on University Drive, left on Curtin Road, then resume normal routing.

 
When the H Toftrees is on game day detour, there is no H service and no alternative transportation at all stops between East Halls at Curtin Hall (#155)/McCoy Natatorium (#148) and Toftrees Avenue/Alma Mater Drive (#890).
 
In Toftrees, the H Service will begin/end at The View.
 
On Cricklewood Dr and Woodledge Dr, all buses board and alight from the inbound side only (the side normally used by campus-bound buses).
 
The H serves all further stops to its Trader Joe's Plaza terminal; however, during the detour, inbound stops are served by Toftrees-bound buses and outbound stops are served by campus-bound buses. Trader Joe's Plaza is served only by Toftrees-bound buses.
 
The H runs express from campus to Trader Joe's (#497) and from 1870 N Atherton St (#498) to campus, not serving any stop in-between. The first stop on campus is Pattee Transit Center (#4) and the last stop is Walker Bldg (#285)
 
When the H is on detour, the schedule provided above replaces the published schedule online.
 

Inbound – After servicing The View, the bus will turn left on Toftrees Ave, left on Waddle Rd, left on I-99 North to 322 East to the College Ave exit, then right on College Ave where it will resume normal routing.

Detours and Service Delays

4/21/2024 through 4/29/2024, Curtin Road will be closed between Commuter Drive and Porter Road. The routing the day of the concert 4/27/2024 may change.

The Blue Loop will be unable to service Stop#281 (Porter Rd at Jordan East Parking). Patrons are directed to utilize stop #287 (Curtin Rd at BJC). 

The Red Link will be unable to service Stop #355 (Curtin Rd at Stadium West Parking). Patrons are directed to Patrons are directed to utilize stop #287 (Curtin Rd at BJC). 

 

Stop 805 is Temporarily Closed due to construction. A temporary stop has been opened on Atherton near the Hamilton Square.

Pizza Hut Stop #398 is Temporarily Closed due to construction. There is a temporary stop placed across from Hamilton Square. 

The R & RC routes may be delayed between the hours of 7:00AM and 5:00PM from Monday and Friday, due to the construction on S Atherton Street between Logan Ave and Center Lane.

Due to a route change, the Red Link (RL) does not service Innovation Park or Mount Nittany Medical Center.
